Donald Trump lost his passport during his trip to Mexico today. Until the passport is produced, the Republican presidential nominee will not be allowed to return to the United States.
Trump took a huge risk in visiting the nation he has endlessly insulted so that he could meet Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto. At some point during the day’s activities, Trump’s passport went missing.
“Who stole my passport?” shouted an irate Trump while calling in to CNN. “Nieto stole my passport and is trying to make me look stupid. Sad!”
The visit to Mexico was an attempt by Trump’s campaign to improve his image as a possible world leader, following yearlong attacks on his intellect and sanity.
“Trump lost his passport, that has nothing to do with me,” said Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto. “He’s careless, he does things like that. He’s already lost his marbles, it makes sense that he loses his passport too.”
Peña Nieto, who has previously compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, still greeted Trump politely and said he was committed to working with whomever Americans elect as their next president in November.
If Trump cannot locate his passport, he will need to produce his long-form birth certificate in order to apply for a new passport at the US Embassy. All Trump campaign activities are cancelled for the foreseeable future.
